Book: Let's Play!
Snack: Carrots, Clementines, and Goldfish
Let's play... inside, outside, with chalk, glue, glitter, water, paint, clay, puppets, and with each other!
When we were outside, several children experimented with mixing water, chalk, and glitter glue. In the studio, they made plans to paint in similar fashions, by covering all the white or sharing the easel paper and blending their designs. There was also a group of children making clay bowls, by listening to molding techniques from a friend who had made one in the past. The boys were playing in dramatic play and used their bodies, instruments, and puppets to create a story about a dinosaur who didn't like marshmallows.
There were many different types of play happening today and the children were often working with each other to create and share ideas. They wondered, asked questions of each other, shared their experiences and tested out their ideas.
